The Truth Is Out There

Hi, I’ve being neglecting my Blog of late, mainly due to the fact that nothing much of interest has been happening in Boyle lately, unless you count a few potholes being filled in and some lights being erected, or appeals for missing cats and dogs. We need some good old gossip, even some of the unfounded variety, to spice things up a bit, or we face the possibility of believing that all is well and good in our little town, when in fact the opposite is true. Of course there are the Happy People who can see no wrong in Boyle and continue to promote their utopian ideals, or their “I’m all right jack and fuc# you” attitude. It even seems some of these people want to take credit for the spell of good weather we’ve being having.
Well the Winter of discontent is not far off. Still no replacement industry in Boyle, with unemployment figures rising and job prospects falling. Of course this is not just confined to local issues, our county hospital under threat, our national health service in a shambolic state, Government Ministers reneging on Pre-Election promises (gimmicks), but at least Backhand Bertie is finally gone, and good riddance to him. It was interesting to hear his take on the difficulties he faces in the Mahon tribunal as “ unfortunate that he was found out as a result of being caught between two warring parties”, the proverbial meat in the sandwich of corruption, Infamy, Infamy they’ve all got it in for me.
As for spineless Spend A Penny ( Enda Kenny ) he applauded Bertie in his final lament instead of having the balls to tell it like it is, the bootlick soup slurper.
I have sadly come to the conclusion lately, that the good people of Boyle don’t want to hear the truth, unless it is whispered in some dark corner, they seem afraid to admit to themselves that this town, for all its good points is only a seasonal, as long as the sun shines, town, and our winters last nine or ten months, and sometimes longer.
